Coffee Talk: Week 4

I'm linking up with Coffee Talk for the 4th week hosted by Natalie Blair!

1. You're at Target or Walmart, what's the first department you hit?
Target all the way, but only since moving to Virginia.  I used to be a Walmart girl because a) it was the only option and b) it was classy.  Not so in Virginia Beach.  I'm literally scared of the Walmart near me after dark and since I am one of those late night shoppers so I can get in and out quickly, Target is the place for me.  First department...dollar section when I walk in.  Second...women's clothing!  Third...whatever department spurred my late night trip.  Last, the book section.  I love just flipping through books, testing out how they feel, catching up on the newest titles...it's kinda my thing.

2. What are 3 items you always have stocked in your home, fridge or pantry?
Home: tampons, toothpaste, toilet paper
Fridge: greek yogurt, bread, wine
Pantry: cereal, canned soup, flour &sugar...you never know when a sugar cookie baking urge is going to hit :)

3. Do you prefer shopping alone or with others? Why?
ALONE.  No questions asked.

I am not a big shopper, so when I do go shopping, I want to get in and out as quickly as possible.  Food shopping with my family is so much slower; I'm that crazy lady that zigs and zags.  I don't run into people and forget my manners, rather I am the graceful speedy cart driver...in my mind.  As for clothing shopping...I know what feels and looks good on me; I don't need second opinions.

4. What's the biggest splurge you've ever made?
Dance lessons...or a plane ticket... In all honesty, it was my car after I graduated and had a job.  Regardless, they were totally, 110% worth it.  No regrets whatsoever!

5. What's the best deal you've ever snagged?
This is a challenge...I've gotten some pretty good deals on Christmas presents, shopping trips with coupons, thrift stores...but honestly, I think getting my masters in economics of around $8k was the best deal I ever snagged.  I was able to get in state tuition and then was hired as a Teaching Assistant, so tuition was free.
Much love.
