Gut Instincts

Remember when your mom sat you down and told you to always follow you gut instincts? Well, I am here reminding you to do that. If you don't feel good about a situation, immediately remove yourself from it and take the necessary steps to protect you and others in the future. Recently, I was approached by a man in a vehicle asking me for help and I got that God awful feeling inside me. I immediately responded with a stern "No" and tried to take note of everything that could identify this man. I witnessed him speak to two other women, not children, and they all backed away from the car. Even though I always get nervous when I call 911, I did it. Even if this man is harmless, he gave me a really bad feeling and I followed my gut instinct. Who knows, maybe I prevented a potentially bad situation. Moral of the story, follow your instincts.

Much love.

  1. Thank you! I'm always nervous calling 911, but even if the guys is innocent, he can get help from the cops instead of me or someone else. That feeling you get is one of the scariest feelings.

  2. I tend to be a bleeding heart about stuff like this (grew up in a very friendly small town) and my Hubby always chides me for it. I'm getting better at it though and I'm glad you went with your gut!

  3. I too grew up in a small and super friendly town. It was amazing! My mom always told me to go with my gut (generally when it came it guys, alcohol, etc.), but it came into play here as well. Statistics show that the majority of people raped, kidnapped, etc. had a bad feeling and ignored it, so I'd go with it. Nothing will happen to the guy (gal) if he/she isn't doing anything wrong. Better to be safe than to be sorry.
